Suzana is committed to enhancing animal welfare and has been dedicated to this cause since childhood. She completed her Master of laws degree at Osgoode in 2013, wrote her LL.M. thesis on reducing euthanasia in city shelters, and has advocated and lobbied for legislative and policy reform for shelter animals for years. Suzana established Gartner Animal Law & Associates, the first law firm and mediation practice in Canada, exclusively dedicated to animal law matters. She serves on the Ontario Bar Association’s Animal Law Section.
